Thanks. While the Gannet family decided, like the NYT, WaPo and LA Times, to not endorse anybody for President, which means KH to me, and is good news, the Desert Sun ran my piece on the same page as a regular columnist with the headline, "Trump's GOP doesn't care about its racism, scandals or how the party looks". It's a 'have you stopped beating your wife' headline. They've been otherwise generous with my work, so I resisted the impulse to bite the hand.
A wise choice. I'm curious: Was the headline "Trump's GOP doesn't care about its racism, scandals or how the party looks" for the regular columnist's article or for your article? I'm trying to picture this on the page.
The print edition headline on my article was: "As a former immigration lawyer, we must secure the southern border". The online headline was: "I worked as a lawyer in the immigration court. I agree with Trump's goal to secure the southern border."
A great article. I'm glad you were able to get it published in print so a larger audience can read it.

I can understand your frustration. Your original title is much, much better.
